Job Description :

Above 8-10 years preferably in PEB / Steel construction industry

Team Management :

- Managing a safety team & providing EHS support to all internal and external customers for construction sites

- Review tenders for EHS related requirements and give related inputs as per company EHS policy.

- Daily review of construction site activities through product consultant / safety personnel

Training and Development :

- Preparing EHS training plan & matrix. Accordingly, scheduling program for all employees.

- Arranging the accident prevention program through training, personal & group wise counseling

- Implementing safety measures and creating awareness of safety through well-developed HSE Training Plan

- Formulating training program on emergency response procedure

- Conducting new development related to training, development & updating of SOP's & weekly review meeting

- Monitoring and preventing potential workplace safety hazards through routine inspections & training; accurate and up-to-date documentation of policies, procedures and data

- Conducting the departmental group job training programs for all associates, workers and staff / trainees through audio / visuals based platforms

- Training on work area, use of personal protective equipment, safety precautions & permit to work system

- Development & implementation of contractor management procedure

- Evolution of contractors/builders according to organizational EHS aspect.

Investigations & Audits :

- Ensuring the daily site inspection for unsafe action, condition, worker counseling & following up for pending unsafe conditions with concern departments and also with customer

- Scheduling Internal Safety Audits and preparing weekly and monthly EHS reports for reviews

- Conceptualizing the methods to maintain higher safety standards

- Daily construction site safety inspection to find out unsafe conditions on construction site and unsafe actions made by the employees / contract workmen, making a note of all these situation to get it corrected in time from respective department or people, preparing a unsafe condition report and sending it to concerned people and making a follow up till the compliance

- Investigating accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions & interfacing with facilities management at construction sites

- Perform the analysis of all these accidents and statistical process study of it to help in accident prevention program by taking appropriate action

- Supervising on - In case of emergency, what to do? Supervision Instructions & Responsibility of Job Undertaker as a permit user, before obtaining Permit to Work

- Improving the Accident Prevention Program through audits in a month for every employee & maintain the related data

Review Meetings :

- Plan & conduct the weekly / monthly EHS review meeting

- Involvement in Pre order and resource mobilization meetings after awarding the project to contractor.

- Participation in new contractor selection procedure & provide recommendations to management

- Active participation in meeting with customers

- Project review & monitoring according to EHS aspect- s

- Operational Activities & Reporting

- Preparing safety MIS of individual sites, monthly accident report, compiled report of EHS audit & observations, corrective action plan

- Reviewing all construction site related activity's WMS, JSA and recommending to Head - Construction for execution. Further monitoring for its implementation.

- Ensure implementation of safe erection practices while executing the project

- Adhering to approved safety management plans in site such as toolbox talks, PPE regulations (issuing and usage), identity & induction training

- Reporting all near misses, dangerous occurrences and accidents as per the approved safety plan, emergency situations and first aid cases

- Maintain the PPE stock (for BS - Staff) related data & advice to management for appropriate PPE procurement

- Ensuring compliance of statutory & regulatory requirements in regards to safety, health & environment

- ISO & OHSAS Implementation

- Planning, implementing & reviewing adherence to ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards related to EHS in the organization.
