Senior Hardware Engineer - Value Engineering (10-17 yrs)
Experience: minimum 10 years working experience in related field.
Nature of Assignment:
Hardware Engineer responsible for supporting new product design and development, value engineering of existing products, sustenance engineering by analysing and debugging existing design, factory and field issues.
Job Description -
- Analog and digital circuit design for sensor data acquisition, signal processing and thermal and motion controls of analytical instruments.
- Support embedded hardware product development cycle that includes requirement / definition, design and development, qualification, transfer and sustenance.
- Perform hardware and system level verification and validation tests including writing test plans and test reports.
- Debug and trouble-shoot hardware and system level issues for new products and support R&D, manufacturing, factory and service group for existing products with component vendors on component selection and researching the latest technologies.
Essential Skills:
- Analog: Precision amplifiers, Thermocouples and RTD, Pressure and flow sensors, High speed ADC and DAC.
- Power: LDOs, Switching regulators, High voltage circuits and AC-DC converters.
- Communication/Data interface: SPI, I2C, LVDS, USB, Ethernet
- Processor: ARM processor family, FPGA and CPLD
- Component Engineering: Component life cycle and RoHS, Reach compliance.
- Full time experience in digital and analog hardware design.
- Experience with micro-controller-based design and understanding of embedded C coding.
- Experience in the design of power supply circuits for boards and peripherals such as sensor interface circuits, high-resolution ADC and DAC, op-amps, memories, relays, etc.
- Experience in designing with communication schemes such as USB/serial, SPI, I2C, etc.
- Experience in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers data loggers.
- Hands on experience on EDA Tools like OrCAD, Mentor Graphics - PADS logic etc.
- Hands on experience to use advanced test equipment and EMI/EMC pre-compliance test setup.
- Strong organizational skills to work with cross-functional teams in defining and performing project requirements.
Desirable Skills:
- Working experience in operating chromatography instruments.
- Experience in development of Scientific / Medical / Laboratory analytical products will be added advantage.
- Ability to develop SW utilities to automate hardware testing.
- Debugging experience in embedded C and coding experience in FPGA and CPLD.
Qualification/s: B.E/B.Tech or MTech / ME in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or similar streams.
