Senior Manager - Demand Planning & Strategy - FMCG (2-7 yrs)
Job Description :
- As Demand Planning and S&OP Manager you will be responsible for supplying the business with a rolling demand plan, building from system based statistical forecasts and applying promotional impacts and market insight, supporting the satisfaction of customer expectations and meeting agreed business KPI's.
- You will need to build strong understanding of our markets and performance, and be comfortable with challenging assumptions to ensure development of a robust demand plan. Ongoing analysis and improvement of Forecast Accuracy is expected.
- You will manage the monthly S&OP cycle, taking the demand plan through the assessment of supply capability and operational planning to support its delivery.
- The role includes responsibility for managing the S&OP team and process on day to day / week to week basis. Become the link between the business strategy and the Inventory Planning department, ensuring the S&OP plan is executed under correct timescales aligning supply chain with commercial strategy and market intelligence.
- Reviewing and reporting on the Supply Chain "end-to-end", from supplier management and engagement through to outbound logistics to customer. Responsibility for improving supply chain processes and reducing costs.
The Successful Applicant
The Demand Planning and S&OP Manager will have :
- Demand planning experience and experience of implementing, developing and nurturing a new S&OP processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a broad cross-functional group to an agreed business outcome.
- Understanding of forecasting techniques and replenishment principles.
- Excellent consultative skills, and a willingness to challenge and question.
- IT literate - extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Forecasting software, ERP/MRP platforms.
- Experience of managing and leading a team.
