- Oversee electrical & mechanical online maintenance of HCM, utilities, mucilage preparation equipment to deliver desired efficiency and up-time

- Monitor cost control initiatives for daily and regular consumable, spares and energy to achieve Engineering budget wrt energy, stores & spares (engineering) and R & M

Monitor implementation of various in-plant projects from conceptual to closure, initiated by strategy management, in order to meet the user requirements.

Strategic :

- Review and maintain downtime within target, adherence to R & M, Stores Spares budget, ECR and maintain them within target

- Review and maintain maintenance, calibration and resources

Functional :

Core :

Achieve reduction in downtime on account of Engineering

- Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance of equipment and machineries wrt utilities, HCM, mucilage preparation area as per plan

- Monitor online maintenance related activities (in coordination with other departments) and engineering maintenance lead in order to ensure smooth functioning of utilities, HCM and mucilage preparation area, ATS, printing, camera systems for seamless operation

- Ensure adherence to processes and systems and support to surpass budgeted AFOE

- Review online maintenance of electrical & mechanical breakdowns are rectified and documented

- Review process parameters and ensure implementation of corrective actions for utilities and HCMs on regular basis

- Review root cause analysis for repeated failure and effectiveness of CAPA

- Review availability of critical spares in ready to use condition to maintain plant up-time

- Review and ensure implementation of line of actions as per the mitigation plan designed by the team members

- Ensure development of alternate vendor & conduct risk assessments in order to mitigate risk and adhere to compliance

- Ensure upgradation of automation system for process synchronization / optimization

- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, c-GMP, regulatory & statutory compliances, TPM and other applicable norms

- Planning & execute capacity expansion and other improvement projects in the facility

- Review, monitor and ensure adherence to project tracker/planner for various improvement projects as per budget and schedule

- Design systems in collaboration with external & internal SMEs, stakeholders and consultants, wherever required

- Support other user functions in execution of cross functional projects

- Ensure improvement and sustaining the productivity 

- Ensure control of downtime of HCM as per the target and achieve the desired quality output to meet the budget

- Monitor execution of size change/ pin bar change activities within the specified time frame to meet the manufacturing requirements

- Review and monitor execution of innovative projects in various fields based on advanced technologies for synchronization of process/utility by automation, productivity increase and energy conservation

- Review and ensure verification & calibration as and when required and maintain record

- Ensure validation (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) of all engineering equipment and process

- Monitor trails of equipment / machines installed and evaluate the performance as per the URS

Civil Projects :

- Review and finalize the detailed specifications for the Users Requirements Specifications (URS)

- Review analysis of URS and ensure finalization of order as per timelines

- Ensure adherence to the quality standards and delivery norms as per the project plan

- Review and monitor execution of the project as per approved plan

- Review project schedule and activity - wise tracker in order to meet the deadlines

- Ensure seamless functioning of ETP in accordance with legal and statutory norms

Cost Optimization :

- Review and monitor implementation of various energy saving projects to achieve budgeted ECR

- Review and monitor execute energy cost reduction activities to achieve budgeted stores spares, R&M and energy cost

- Ensure cost optimization in improvement projects with vendor development

Internal Processes :

- Review and analyse various MIS reports like CTQ, downtime analysis, repeated failure, CAPA report, spare and consumable consumption, PM compliance, downtime analysis and ETP

People Management :

- Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up in-house capabilities for the employees in the department

- Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members

- Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles

- Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall employee engagement and motivation
