Senior Manager - Instrument Cluster (3-9 yrs)
Purpose of the role :
- To design and writing Requirements for Instrument Cluster, HUDs, and its subsystems
- To define design Standards & Carryover Strategy of this sub module
- To design & develop the Instrument cluster, Head up displays and its subsystems.
Roles and Responsibilities :
1. Release of IC ECU Function Net, DID, DTC, documents
2) Support & Release component level DFMEA
3). External interface Documents Review & feedback consolidation.
4) IC Supplier Documents review & feedback consolidation.
5). Validate the Diagnostics service & EOL tools developed by TML
6). SOW preparation for new Requirements and Support in closing technical review activities
7) Creating Sequence diagram for Features and Functions
8) Create Requirement document for Features which include EV and NON-EV Platforms
9.) Supporting team for debugging and root cause analysis for issues
10) Develop Generic DFMEAs, RFQs (components & Engineering Services), DVPs
11) Develop Design Standards in line with Technical Policy & Technology Roadmap
Domain Knowledge (Skills Required) :
Working knowledge of the Instrument Clusters system, controllers, sensors, functional aspects, design, interfacing, application,
- Knowledge of ECU - V- cycle development from concept to production from an OEM perspective.
- Working Knowledge of requirement and configuration management tools like DOORS, MINT3 and RMDVV
- Familiarity of simulation tools - like MATLAB, SIMULINK, P spice
- Knowledge of automotive communication and Diagnostic protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS etc)
- Knowledge of Design tools like DFMEA, PFMEA, CAD
- Should know the regulatory / certification requirements like CMVR, AIS, ECE etc.
- Knowledge of ASIL and AUTOSAR requirements.
- Knowledge of Testing standards for designing Instrument clusters,
- Should be able to evaluate supplier proposals and provide technical recommendation
- Knowledge of Instrument cluster and it is associated sensors system design and development with features like Fuel computer algorithms i.e. Distance to Empty, Average fuel economy, Tell-tale and it is requirement, TFT displays
- Knowledge of protocols used for gesture controls, voice recognition
- Knowledge of HMI development to support development of TFT clusters
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross functional team to achieve therequired functional/cost/weight/timing & quality.
- Excellent Leadership quality to lead the team and give clear directions to drive for results
