We are in need of Sr.Manager-Logistics (Male) for a leading Garment Industry located in Bangalore.

Job Description :

1. Liaising with the Warehouse, Sales and other relevant departments to determine items to order.

2. Request for Performa Invoices from Overseas Suppliers & Processing of Overseas Purchase orders

3. Placing orders with Suppliers from overseas & Processing of Performa Invoices and SDF application

4. Preparation of Marine Insurance Covers & Processing of payments for Suppliers

5. Process of Letters of Credit with concerned DepartmentExpediting/routine follow up on status of goods to ensure that suppliers meet delivery promises

6. Tracking of incoming shipments & Expediting inspection of goods received

7. Notifying Suppliers on short-shipped, oversupplied and faulty items received and taking the necessary action Liaising with Stock Control on Preparation of GRN & Filing and keeping records of all imports documents

8. Updating of imports register and emailing consignments status reports to the M.D., Warehouse and Sales Department.

9. Export Documents Preparation, when requested by clients, Liaising with Clearing Agents on cargo clearance with Customs & Expediting inspection of goods received

10. Any other duty that may be assigned by the Managing or Financial Directors Payment terms negotiation, optimization and Supplier Development Direct Inbound, Outbound Logistics Operations & Getting Vessel Schedules and giving advanced Booking to Forwarders.

11. Handle of Import & Export & Domestic/International Procurement activities and other related activities Getting Quotes & Comparison for all Import & Export Shipments from different Agents

12. Monthly review of Stock Accuracy and inform to the management maintaining the record of all Transportation & Inventory Management at PlantClose tracking for getting on-time Bills from Forwarders, Couriers, Suppliers & Handover to Accounts Dept

13. Monitoring the Trucks & Materials movement between the Factories in India & International and to CustomersTracking Shipment status, Bill of Entry, Checklist, B/L drafts and its approvalVehicles arrangements for all Incoming & Outgoing Dispatches

14. Follow-up with Transporters for timely reaching of Vehicles at particular destinations make a plan for daily dispatch for Domestic as well as Export Consignment as per Customer delivery schedulesMonitor the Inward / Outward movement of Materials & responsibility for issues & related documentsProcuring Plant Direct & Indirect Materials like Spare parts, Maintenance Items
