Senior Manager - Logistics - eCommerce (7-10 yrs)
General and Task Management :
1. Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
2. Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance
3. Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
4. Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs and negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics provider. Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
5. Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues and review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others
6. Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new warehouses and advise of cost implications and efficiency
7. Billing reconciliation Of courier partners, 3PL WHs, vendors, etc and timely payment for all the parties
8. Reconciliation of marketplace channels bills and charges.
9. Maintain metrics/KPIs, reports, process documentation and training.
People Management :
1. Coach, manage and develop shipping team and team leaders to optimise performance and meet targets and deadlines
2. Communicate with team a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements
3. Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess on-going performance of direct reports
Cost Control & Effectiveness :
1. Hold responsibility for Logistics budgets
Relationship & Self-Management :
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process.
2. Ensure all completed orders are dispatched and delivered on time
3. Take responsibility for accuracy of invoicing / shipping labelling to ensure correct orders reach correct customers at the correct time and Ensure products are shipped appropriately to ensure quality of goods during transportation
4. Ensure weight mentioned in the system are correct and charges are according to mentioned weights only across all channels and portals
5. Takes ownership for team performance and team development
6. Is self-aware, optimistic and open for feedbacks & change
Skills Required :
1. Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
2. Highly developed inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate all levels within the business
3. Ability to build, lead and motivate a skilled team able to meet objectives and agreed targets
4. Good IT skills, in particular spread sheets and databases and a knowledge of warehouse systems
5. Analytical and numerical
Qualifications and Experience :
1. Graduate In any stream or above
2. More than 6+ years of experience in logistics operation
3. Full understanding of the requirements of running logistic operation
