Senior Manager - Process Excellence (4-12 yrs)
Job Description :
- Design for assembly - carryout manufacturing feasibility study on transfer projects.
- Specify the needs of an assembly line:
- Define line architecture based on lean manufacturing and SPS principles
- Work benches specifications, number and concept design
- Equipment specifications, number and concept design
- Define equipment and workbenches to control a product or a sub-assembly
- Capacity Analysis of work benches/ Assembly line and necessary number of people
- Draw layout of the process installed in SE factory or at sub-contractor
- Drives realization of an equipment following SE methodology :
- Specify equipment needs and features
- Capex estimation, evaluation of supplier quotes
- Select and asses suppliers together with purchase department
- Participate in supplier selection
- Equipment Leadtime estimation, Scheduling using MS Project
- Follow up, evaluates and validates studies of the supplier (schedule, detailed design & specification, cost, cycle time)
- Liasoning between plant and supplier
- Accept and qualify the equipment
- Coordinate with cross function teams to realize the project goals
- Participate in preparation of PFMEA & Qualification plans
- Prepare work instructions and safety instructions
- Make return on investment analysis to compare different solutions
- Leads technical trials and tests to validate critical assembly technologies
- Participate in the installation and setting up of new equipment in the factories
- Simulates flows and capacities and optimize process yield
- Support factories for critical issues where assembly is involved
- Follow standard templates, SPS guidelines wherever applicable
