Senior Manager - R&D (14-22 yrs)
Role & responsibilities
- To review the literature summary report prepared by Scientists and to finalize route of synthesis for new product development
- Allocation of projects to the scientists and guide them time to time to achieve a positive outcome within a given time frame by the management.
- Review of progress of reactions involved in the projects and to suggest modification to synthesis as well as analytical development scientists.
- Always in search for the scope of further development in the existing products in order to reduce the manufacturing cost and to sustain the organization in growing competition.
- To guide the troubleshooting team during plant troubleshooting activities.
- To prepare presentations for newly developed products and to represent the same to technology transfer, production, QA, QC and other related departments before starting commercial batches so that all is well aware of the process.
- To calculate the raw material consumption norms for new products and to revise the costing of existing products as per the changes in raw material cost.
- To lead the R&D team at the time of scale up during transfer of new technology in the plant and to guide the scientists for smooth follow up of the process parameters.
- To be involved in the investigation team for any discrepancy observed in regular products.
- To review the complete documentation of the R & D department.
- To review documents required for DMF filing.
- To plan the R&D activities according to regulatory queries received.
- To maintain good coordination with other departments.
- To review and reply to IP queries received from the marketing department with the help of IP Scientist.
- To check & approve the documents like product development report, SOPs of R&D/ADL lab, COA of R&D batches.
- Weekly updating about the progress of R&D work to the management.
- To maintain good intra and inter departmental coordination
