Senior Manager - Research & Development - Motor Design (10-18 yrs)
Role: Senior Manager - Research & Development- Job Location: Bangalore
BE (Mechanical) with an excellent understanding of the design, validation and functioning of Gear Box and fair understanding in motor design with minimal work experience in electrical and electronics.
Work Experience:
12 years to 15 years
Reports to: (Functionally): Vice President Research & Development
Job Overview:
Responsible for managing the key activities in the Research & Development forXXX India products
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for R&D activities in areas: In specific in the mechanical design of Gear Box and proficient knowledge of Motor Design with a fair understanding of electrical and electronics in motor design.
- Motivate and drive the R&D team/reporting employees.
- Mechanical Design - improving existing product, developing new product
- Guiding and Designing the drawing with the team, Utilization of Solid works,
- CAD Package.
- - Development of electrical switches, Validation of prototype models, conducting endurance test for new products.
- General Arrangement drawings as per customers requirement
- Development of mechanical components in coordination with suppliers and implementation for regular production
- Flame-proof components, product approval of flame-proof products
- Development of nuclear actuator
- Review drawings to identify possible manufacturing issues for production
- Qualification test of products with respect to Gear Box
- Supervise the preparation of component drawing, assembly drawings, bill of materials in time.
- Providing technical inputs & engineering support to the team from conception stage to completion stage of the product
- Reviewing the design changes if any as per the process and resolving quality related problems associated with the design of the gear box

Assistant Manager, Senior Engineer, Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer,
Responsibilities (support activities )-
Coordinating with Production and Quality Teams
Interaction and ensuring with the SCM and PPC
Close interaction with Marketing and Service functions in understanding the customers- expectations
