Senior Mechanical Engineer (3-7 yrs)
Location: Mysuru
Experience: 3-7 Years
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
- Design and develop ANSI LV and MV products, including sheet metal parts, bus bars, and insulation parts.
- Create 3D models of parts and assemblies from concept to completion using NX (preferred) and AutoCAD.
Technical Expertise:
- Work with complex - made to order- manufacturing environments.
- Analyze customer technical specifications for LV/MV Switchgear and MCC products to ensure optimal product delivery.
Project Ownership:
- Take overall mechanical ownership of projects, including creating Mechanical Bills of Materials (BOM), developing new assemblies, and validating functionality.
- Release parts and assemblies to production.
Team Management:
- Manage and guide a small team, ensuring effective collaboration and project completion.
Standards and Compliance:
- Familiarize with ANSI/IEEE standards for MV/LV Switchgears and MCCs, including IEEE C37.20.2, IEEE C37.20.3, IEEE -C37.20.7, and UL 845.
Tools and Software:
- Utilize CAD tools like AutoCAD and NX (3D CAD) for design purposes.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-7 years of experience in designing and developing ANSI LV and MV products.
- Hands-on experience in 3D modeling, with proficiency in NX and AutoCAD.
- Experience working with sheet metal parts, bus bars, and insulation components.
- Proven experience in a complex - made to order- manufacturing environment.
- Ability to analyze technical specifications and work closely with the Engineering Project team.
- Experience in mechanical project ownership, including creating BOMs and developing assemblies.
- Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE standards related to LV/MV Switchgears and MCCs.
- Knowledge of Electrical CAD tools is advantageous.
