Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical Manufacturing Company. (6-10 yrs)
Job Title - Sr. Project Engineer - Mechanical-Manufacturing company.
Location - Pune
Years of Experience - 6-10 yrs
Job specifications:
- Develop and manage suppliers to meet product performance, timeline and cost targets
- Technical mechanical lead for submersible motor, pump, and Electronics enclosure design
- Perform competitive teardowns, evaluate strengths and weaknesses of competitive designs
- Create 3D designs, bills of material, FMEA's and tolerance stackup analysis
- Hands-on in building prototypes for technical assessment and market research
- Assist sourcing team with should-cost models and costed BOM's
- Lead cross-functional design reviews
- Review FPI's and other quality documentation and provide guidance to suppliers to meet technical requirements
- Manage product testing, ensure required testing is put in place
- Evaluate, approve and implement engineering change orders within a product lifecycle management system
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Reaches out to, and works well with both inside and outside resources in the effort to work toward solutions
Employee Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8-10 years of industry experience
- Experience with stamped metal parts, die cast parts and injection molded parts
- Experience with 3D modeling software required, CATIA knowledge a plus
- Experience with rotating equipment, such as motors, pumps for water, oil and gas or agricultural use a plus
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Detail oriented & good organizational skills
- Understanding of product test methodology and quality processes
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude & hands-on approach
- Ability to multi-task & deliver aggressive date driven projects
- Potential for up to 10% domestic and global travel required
- English language proficiency a must
