Senior Quality Engineer

Leads the supply quality system process(es) and coordinates closely with business cross functional teams to identify, audit, qualify, monitor, communicate and develop suppliers utilizing statistical data and various continuous improvement processes such as lean, six sigma, and root cause analysis tools

Job Summary :

Accountabilities :

- Supplier Risk Analysis, and Qualification, (40%)

- Demonstrated ability to develop key data in the risk analysis process of supplier onboarding and qualification;

- Demonstrated ability to utilize and select appropriate quality tools (e.g., problem solving and root cause analysis, lean and Sig Sigma) to help resolve issues related to non-conformances;

- Demonstrated ability to support the Material Review Board (MRB) to ensure that material is distributed appropriately and quickly;

- Demonstrates ability to utilize statistics, problem solving and other quality tools to monitor and improve global Supply Chain business processes and to help troubleshoot production process and product issues;

- Has experience leading in the scheduling, conducting, and managing of supplier audits in the qualification, re-qualification, and surveillance audits, to assure supplier compliance with quality requirements and to identify continuous improvement opportunities with a minimum of 3 years as an auditor;

- Monitoring, communication, and development of supplier performance (40%)

- Demonstrated ability to lead process and product improvement projects in the development of quality programs and procedures for suppliers to validate the capability of supplier Quality Systems and to ensure data collection is structured, managed, and utilized to benefit quality system;

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage supplier related Root Cause Analysis, and Audit Non-Conformance Reports/Corrective Action Request activities to ensure timely administration and records;

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead the identification and resolution of supplier problems relating to quality and production control,

- Cross Functional Collaboration (20%)

- Demonstrates ability to coordinates and manages supplier issues with cross functional teams in response to issues and arrive at successful resolution.

- Demonstrated ability to coordinates and manage customer issues with cross functional teams in response to customer enquiries and arrive to a satisfactory resolution to issues.

Desired Qualifications :

- Minimum of a 3 years experience in Supplier Quality or Quality assurance with a Bachelor of Science, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering;

- Equivalent technical experience with a minimum of 5 years with an emphasis on Machining, welding, NDE or Electrical technology or equipment service repair of hot tapping and plugging machinery and/or manufacturing/maintenance of such equipment;

- Demonstrated ability with Microsoft tools;

- Demonstrated ability in Quality platforms tools and their use to effectively communicate data to the business;

- Demonstrate ability to create presentations and process documents;

- Ability to travel (internationally and domestically), up to 25% of the time.

- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and multimedia communications skills,

- Demonstrated ability to create, develop, organize, and utilize complex databases in a quality environment

- Desired but not required

- Certified auditor with a minimum of 2 years experience

- Experienced with Six sigma processes; Green belt certification or higher is highly desired

- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer

- Experience with statistical DOE, SPC, ANOVA, Regression and Theory of Constraints,

- Thorough understanding of advanced statistics and their application in an industrial environment,

- Experience with statistical software such as Minitab, R or SAS
