Senior Quality Manager - Electro-Mechanical/Industrial Automation Products (10-15 yrs)
The Senior Manager - Quality will be responsible for the implementation, management, and standardization of quality systems and processes. The candidate will drive continuous Quality Improvement initiatives throughout the organization using a proactive approach, statistically proven methodologies, quality system standardization, auditing and benchmarking.
Responsibilities:
- Setup a holistic system for Supplier Quality Assurance through audits and continuous improvement of supplier systems and processes (including but not limited to: Machining, Plating process, Surface Treatments etc.)
- Establish suitable Quality Control systems and own product quality during the development, manufacturing and sustaining phases of product's life cycle
- Line Quality check and Outbound Quality Check through Validation of Manufacturing Processes and In process audits, evaluation of Process Capability and revamp of existing systems and processes
- Installation Quality Support through critical evaluation of existing installation procedures, development of quality management protocols at a customer site and drive continuous improvements in the implementation process
- Establish and structure a Quality team to provide routine support for:
a. Complaint management
b. Design changes and reviews
c. Process changes
d. Yield and production issues management
e. Supplier Quality Management
f. Document Control
g. New product development
h. Verification/Validation activities.
- Implement, maintain & improve the effectiveness of Quality Management System to ensure the company meets or exceeds the quality compliance requirements (internal and external)
- Lead Internal Audit Team and conduct the majority of internal audits to monitor processes, procedures, facilities, and systems
- Prioritize quality actions and communicate up, down and across the organization
- Develop and lead Hardware Quality Strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and/or related roles into Electro-Mechanical Products/Industrial Automation products
- ASQ certification in Quality Engineering, Auditing, and/or Quality Management is preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt (or higher) or equivalent. Be able to show evidence of achievements.
- Skills and experience in talent management, process improvement, root cause and corrective action, six Sigma, statistics and information analysis, strategic planning, executive presentations, thoroughness and attention to detail, dealing with complexity
- Coordinate and deploy required global product compliance and certifications procedures
- Demonstrated success in previous Quality leadership roles
- Experience with high volume, complex manufacturing experience in electro/mechanical and software systems
