Senior Reliability Engineer - Static & Corrosion (12-18 yrs)

Responsibilities:

1. Understand the objectives of the department and implement the same

2. Work safely and follow all necessary work safety procedures as applicable while inspection of the plant and also ensure that contractors work safely while carrying out the assigned work in plant.

3. Ensure that master data of the fixed equipment in SAP/Meridium is up to date. Liaise with planning section for updation as required.

4. Ensure that all activities of the department are carried out safely with the help of written down procedures developed in accordance with codes, standards and RAGAGEP's.

5. Prepare inspection reports, release recommendations and record history. All inspection records are in systems like SAP and Meridium.

6. Provide procedures for repairs to fixed equipment and associated appurtenances in accordance with codes, standards and RAGAGEP's.

7. Co-ordinate/participate inter-departmental reliability assurance activities like TRIPOD, Plant interface meetings etc. to monitor and implement the recommendations arising out of various activities. Maintain Minutes of meeting

8. Review of pending inspection of equipment and liaise with operations / maintenance for planning and completing the same. Review concession / deviation exercise for all pending inspection of equipment and conform compliance to procedure.

9. Inspection of all special and critical / hazardous maintenance activities like on line sealing, hot tapping etc. to ensure that they are safe to execute and will not hamper the integrity

10. Participate in root cause analysis of various failures in fixed equipment, generate report and provide recommendations

11. Update corrosion manuals as applicable. Assist in developing RBI for the identified plants as per objective

12. Liaise with statutory authorities. Maintain all records supporting statutory compliance with respect to static equipment

13. Detailed Planning for Major Shutdown activities and execution of Major overhauls

14. Administer contracts as per work orders.

15. Evaluate QAP's for all spares /consumables being procured as a part of the maintenance / projects cell.

Skill & Competencies:

1. Demonstrate strong team work and operating discipline.

2. Analytical thinking

3. Good oral and written communication skills in English, report writing, presentation skills

4. Ability to read and understand equipment engineering drawings, PFD's, P&ID's, piping Isometrics,

5. Basic Knowledge of:

(a) Construction of fixed equipment

(b) Common design codes and standards

(c) Basic maintenance systems and practices of refinery/petrochemical units

(d) Maintenance and repairs

(e) Basics of welding inspection

6. Basic understanding of operations of typical refinery/petrochemical/utilities.

7. Basic Knowledge of materials and metallurgy and its application to fixed equipment's of refinery/ petrochemical/utilities

Education Required:

1. BE/ME in Mechanical engineering or Metallurgical engineering

Experience Required:

1. Valid certification in ASNT /ISNT Level II in at least two techniques MPI / UT / RT

2. Around 5 years of working experience in a refinery / petrochemical plants with at least 2 years managing the Reliability, Inspection and Corrosion monitoring of Fixed equipment

3. Exposure to working in MS office and other computerized systems
