Senior Role - Engineering Contracts - Plumbing & Fire Fighting/Protection (8-16 yrs)
Senior Role - Engineering Contracts (Plumbing & Fire Fighting)
Main Responsibilities : Plumbing & Fire Fighting /Protection
Responsible for the Engineering Contracts finalization, for the Projects, associated to :
- Plumbing (Domestic, Flushing, Rain, Waste Water, Soil & Vent Systems)
- Fire Protection Systems (Sprinkler & Wet Riser Systems)
- Sewage Treatment Plants
- Water Treatment Plants
- Responsible for providing Product Cost Analyses.
- Responsible for the preparation and regular updating of material (Piping Accessories & Pumps) cost indices, based on the market prices.
- Responsible for the preparation and regular updating of Installation, Testing & Commissioning costs, based on the market prices.
Engineering Development :
- To participate in the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) development for the projects.
- To provide budget cost projections based on the Concept, Schematic, Detailed Designs and the Tender Documents.
- To provide cost input to the Engineering Manager in order to facilitate Value Engineering Solutions.
Pre-Tender & Post-Tender Contract Administration :
- To coordinate with the Engineering Manager and clarify the RFI's raised by the Cost Consultants & the Quantity Surveyors during the Pre-Tender
- To coordinate with the Engineering Manager and clarify the RFI's raised by the Bidders during the Tender Stage.
Tendering Process :
- To enable the compilation of Tender Documentation as a Package.
- To prepare and finalize the Vendors/Contractors list.
- To issue the Tender Package to the Vendors/Contractors.
- To coordinate with the Engineering Manager and Address the technical queries raised by the Bidders.
- To receive the Vendors'/Contractors' commercial proposals.
- To provide Techno-commercial comparison.
- To submit Techno-Commercial comparison, with a brief summary on the proposals, to the Engineering Manager.
- To draw comparison with reference to the market rate indices.
- To negotiate and finalize the Contract.
- Contract Documentation and Award of Contract/ Purchase Order (PO)/ Work Order (WO)
- To prepare Terms and Conditions for the Contract / PO/ WO
- To prepare Contract / PO/ WO Documentation - MS-Word Agreement
- To prepare Contract / PO/ WO Documentation - SAP Orders
- To award the Contract / PO/ WO
Post Contract Administration :
- To resolve issues related to the variation/claims submitted by the Contractor.
- To receive and process the Change Control Documents (CCD) / Invoice / Payment Applications
- To provide monthly progress reports, on the percentage completion of the project construction activities.
Quantity Verification :
- Quantity Variations Analysis - for Existing BOQ / Tender Rates
- Quantity Variations Analysis - for New Items (Non-tendered).
- Claims associated with the site execution works
- Issuance of Work Clearance Certificate
