- As a Senior Validation Engineer for EV Heavy Duty Truck Application, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.
What you will do:
- Leading the development and execution of validation plans for EV heavy-duty truck systems and components, including powertrain, electrical, and software integration areas
- Defining validation requirements based on system and component specifications, industry standards, and customer expectations
- Collaborating with design, development, and testing teams to understand system functionality and requirements for validation
- Developing and maintaining test procedures, protocols, and test cases to ensure comprehensive validation coverage
- Conducting validation activities, including testing, data collection, and analysis, to verify system performance, functionality, and reliability
- Performing preliminary root cause analysis and troubleshooting issues identified during validation, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve them
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior validation engineers, supporting their professional growth and development
- Creating detailed validation reports, documenting test results, findings, and recommendations for design improvements or optimizations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations throughout the validation process
-Continuously improving validation methodologies, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborating with suppliers and external partners to coordinate validation activities and ensuring consistency in testing methodologies
- Participating in design reviews and providing feedback to ensure that validation requirements are adequately addressed during the design phase
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practices in validation engineering for EV heavy-duty truck applications
What you need to have :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 8-10 years of core experience in validation engineering, with a focus on automotive or heavy-duty truck applications
- Strong understanding of integration areas within EV heavy-duty truck systems, including powertrain, electrical, and software integration
- Proven experience in developing comprehensive validation plans and leading validation activities
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive validation & testing
- Proficiency in test design, test execution, data analysis, and reporting using relevant tools and software
- Familiarity with automotive testing methodologies and equipment, including lab testing, vehicle-level testing, and field testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and provide effective solutions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with leading validation projects and providing technical guidance to junior engineers
- Knowledge of EV heavy-duty truck systems and components is highly desirable
- Experience with CAN communication protocols and diagnostic tools is a plus
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and systems approach to work
