Formulation of local policy and procedure

To support and promote all HSE policies and procedures implemented by the company

- Administer the HSE related policies on the site.

- Review on a continuous basis the HSE policy and HSE systems and implementation of procedures on the project.

- Coordinate with HSE Officers for preparation of the project specific HSE plan.

- Participate in HSE audits and inspections periodically

- Monitor and review accident statistics and advise the team as and when needed.

- Lead the investigation team in case of serious accidents or incidents.

- Advise management on revisions to HSE policy.

- Carry out regular and random safety inspections in site and record results.

- Advise site personnel concerning safe working practices and potentially dangerous occurrences.

- Identify safety-training needs for both management and operatives.

- Arrange necessary safety training and conduct in-house or with outside parties.

- Compile and record safety statistics.

- Develop and implement safe systems of work for the project through safety staff.

- Overall analysis of the safety system in the company and regular information to the management where required for additional support/preventive actions required.

- Commit to improve safety on a yearly basis, through quantifiable safety data.

- Reports infractions and give suggestions to the Project Manager for corrective action.

- Creating effective procedures for the preparation and implementation of programs for project safety and environment

- Implementing HSE policy and programs in the site according to the demand of clients

- Assuring workplaces comply with health & safety legislation as well as investigating complaints, serious harm incidents and accidents

- Checking equipment's working condition and conducting Health Check-up and Safety Campaigns in plant premises

- Conducting Safety Internal Audits & Risk Assessment and implementing Health Safety Environment Management System and formulating First Aid Scheme with neighboring industries

- Investigating near misses, accidents & reporting them to management

- Ensuring suitable protective equipment such as hearing protection, dust pollution protection, PPE are provided and is being used correctly

- Writing reports about the results of inspections and investigations and making its follow up, investigating employee health & safety complaints and discussing findings and recommending possible solutions

- Advising employers / employees on safe & healthy work practices & Health / Safety Management Systems

- Coordinating with Contractors and imposing penalty for violation of safety rules

- Taking induction trainings and class room trainings to employees & contract workers

- Conducting emergency mock drills

- Attending ongoing tender meetings with the client and assisting in preparing cost analysis while ongoing tender.
