Job Title: Process and Simulation Engineer (Sheet metal Parts)
Job Summary:
- As a Process and Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for Creating 3D method Plan, analysing, and optimizing sheet metal die Process used in automotive manufacturing processes.
- This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that Process designed are in line with Customer requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Process Design: (Sheet metal Parts)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer specifications and requirements.
- Design of Die Layout using 3D CAD software, such as CATIA, that meet customer specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies to determine the optimum Process design approach for a given project.
- Analyse and optimize the Simulation results using simulation software, such as Auto Form or LS-DYNA, to ensure they meet Part formability and customers specific requirements, such as stress analysis, material selection, and forming analysis.
Manufacturing Process Optimization:
- Develop efficient processes, to optimize production output, minimize waste, and reduce production costs.
- Work with the tool room to ensure that the process is manufactured according to specifications and Customer's requirements.
- Co-ordinate tool try-outs with production engineers to ensure that dies are manufactured to meet all quality and production requirements.
Customer Relations:
- Support customer visits, when necessary, to discuss Process design, formability issues and manufacturing capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Process design and formability Simulation, preferably in the automotive sheet metal parts.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, such as CATIA, and simulation software, such as Auto Form or LS-DYNA.
- Experience with concept of CNC machining, EDM, and Manufacturability.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyse and optimize complex designs and processes.

Working Conditions:
- Process Design and Simulation Engineers typically work in an office environment but may spend time on the manufacturing floor to oversee tool try-outs or troubleshoot production issues.
- This position may require occasional travel to customer sites or manufacturing facilities.
- This role may also require working extended hours or weekends to meet project deadlines or production schedules.
