We are looking for an innovative and detail-oriented Packaging Manager to lead the design, development, and execution of packaging solutions for our range of Ayurveda products. The ideal candidate will focus on creating unique, sustainable, and functional packaging that enhances user experience, meets e-commerce and export requirements, and ensures cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

Packaging Innovation & Design :

- Develop unique, sustainable, and premium packaging solutions for Ayurveda products.

- Collaborate with the design team to create innovative label and carton designs.

- Ensure packaging enhances product usability, durability, and visual appeal.

- Develop user-friendly, tamper-proof, and eco-conscious packaging for better customer experience.

- Collaborate with the design team to create visually compelling and Ayurveda storytelling-driven packaging

- Integrate smart design elements like QR codes for digital product traceability and consumer education.

- Develop refillable or reusable packaging concepts to reduce single-use materials.

Vendor Sourcing & Management :

- Identify and onboard reliable packaging vendors and suppliers.

- Negotiate pricing, quality, and timelines with vendors.

- Source eco-friendly and innovative packaging materials aligned with brand values.

- Partner with research labs and universities to explore bio-based and plant-derived packaging alternatives

- Establish a database of verified sustainable vendors to streamline procurement and innovation.

Technology & Material Research :

- Stay updated on emerging sustainable packaging technologies, including plant-based, biodegradable, and refillable packaging..

- Explore smart packaging solutions, automation, and material innovations.

- Work on regulatory compliance and industry standards for Ayurveda product packaging.

- Experiment with active packaging solutions (e.g., moisture control, aroma retention) to enhance product longevity.

- Implement lightweight, high-strength materials to reduce carbon footprint in transportation.
 
Costing & Budget Management :

- Analyze and optimize packaging costs without compromising quality.

- Ensure cost-effective packaging solutions for both domestic and export markets.

- Implement waste reduction and efficiency improvements in packaging production.

- Leverage AI and data analytics to predict material usage, reduce excess inventory, and cut costs.

- Develop sustainable secondary packaging solutions that enhance unboxing experiences while minimizing waste.

Training & Team Collaboration :

- Train internal teams and vendors on packaging best practices, sustainability, and compliance.

- Collaborate with designers, marketing, and product teams to create compelling packaging.

- Ensure packaging aligns with branding, product storytelling, and Ayurveda principles.

- Create an internal innovation challenge for employees to contribute creative packaging ideas.

- Collaborate with global design agencies to infuse modern aesthetics into traditional Ayurvedic packaging

E-commerce & Export Packaging :

- Develop sturdy, lightweight, sustainable and cost-effective packaging optimized for e-commerce.

- Ensure export-friendly packaging that meets international shipping and regulatory standards.

- Work on secure, tamper-proof, and protective packaging to maintain product integrity during transit.

- Introduce protective, shock-absorbent packaging that maintains Ayurveda product stability during transit.

- Develop collapsible or space-efficient designs to minimize storage and logistic costs

Quality Control & Compliance

- Ensure packaging meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards for Ayurveda products.

- Work with manufacturing and R&D teams to test and approve packaging prototypes.

- Ensure compliance with Ayurveda, FDA, and international packaging norms.

Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Technology, Material Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of five years of experience in packaging development, preferably in FMCG, Ayurveda, Herbal, Pharma, or Export industries.

- Strong knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and eco-friendly alternatives.

- Experience in label design, carton structuring, and innovative branding elements.

- Expertise in e-commerce and export packaging requirements.

- Proficiency in vendor management, cost negotiations, and quality assurance.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
