Spacecraft Structural Engineer (2-20 yrs)
- Experience conducting structural assessments of spacecraft structures, including mass optimization, material selection, trade-off analysis, and model verification and validation using finite element method.
- Experience performing structural and dynamic simulations, including acoustic and thermoelastic analysis.
- Experience with spacecraft structural testing, including test procedure development, test execution, and post test data processing.
- Knowledge of composite materials, nonlinear materials, energy and finite element methods, fracture, and fatigue analysis.
- Familiarity with material selection and ruggedization techniques for spacecrafts.
- Familiarity with structural analysis of composites and nonlinear material simulation.
- Working knowledge of CAD software(Catia), FEA software(Ansys) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
