Spectron Engineers - Site Project Manager (5-10 yrs)
Job description
This position requires the candidate to be at site located in different parts of West Bengal. The candidate should be well versed with handling projects of mechanical, civil, and fabrication in nature. They will responsible for handling the existing team of people and will be in charge of the work output of multiple projects. They should be thorough in the subject of mechanical and fabrication related works of storage tanks, piping, and other associated equipment's. They should also be well versed with documentation and client engagement. The candidate will also be responsible for cost estimation hence they should be experienced enough to handle this aspect as well.
Responsibilities :
- Ultimately responsible for quality projects being built on time and within budget.
- Should have good public relations in order to have constant client engagement.
- Should be able to prepare and review project estimates and verifies accuracy of entry into job cost system as well as accuracy of initial estimate.
- Conducts pre-job and continuing planning meetings to ensure all project team members understand contract terms and conditions, clauses, schedules or any unusual requirements of the project.
- They should be able to read and understand the mechanical drawings for fabrication of tanks.
- Documents planning meeting results and ensures all action items are completed. Develops and keeps current all project schedules
- Should be well versed with documenting day-to-day activities in the form of daily reporting, inventory holdings, preparing letters to client, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Monitors personnel manning schedules to ensure they match project schedules
- Establishes and executes subcontract and equipment buy-outs to support schedules and funding
-Visits job sites or onsite offices daily. Performs work inspections, checks job progress, and resolves project and contract issues
- Investigates potentially serious job issues and implements corrective measures
- Stays on top of all scope changes to ensure they are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner
- Provides material takeoff, estimate and pricing for changes to work scope
- Conducts and attends job meetings according to customer and company guidelines and schedules
Qualifications
- 5-10 years minimum of relevant work experience managing mechanical construction projects is required.
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering is a must.
- Basic knowledge of civil foundations
