Sr. Bridge Design Engineer (12-30 yrs)
- Lead the project as a Structure Lead.
- Prepare proposals for the new projects, plan and design the best suitable structures for the project.
- Guide team in preparation of complete design of the structures.
- Guide the drafts men in the preparation of the structure drawings.
- Check the drawings of the draftsmen and designs prepared by the design engineers and give inputs for modifications.
- Interact with the client to share details of the project and understand client's requirements.
- Ensure that requirements and suggestions of clients are taken care of and client is satisfied.
- Share the detailed report of the drawings and designs with the client and handle queries /concerns. Get the designs approved by the client.
- Interact with the Independent Consultant and get the designs approved by the IC.
- Oversee and guide the project team.
- Interact with the Geotechnical team for the geotechnical investigations. Explain the project requirements and guide them for geotechnical investigations.
- Explain the project requirements to the hydrologist to facilitate his investigations and data on hydrology of bridges.
- Coordinate with the highways team, share structure details and information for smooth execution of the project.
- Prepare guidelines for ISO and ensure proper documentation for all projects handled in terms of ISO guidelines.
- Design major structures.
- Visit site to evaluate feasibility of proposal, resolution of issues and for inventory
- Interact with railway authorities and get designs approved by railway authorities wherever required. Ensure that all code provisions of railways are being followed.
- Interact with Quantity team and give inputs on most economical designs and structural arrangements for tenders and pre bid studies.
- Interact with BD team for any inputs required for BD.
- Coordinate with HR and F&A teams for administrative requirements of staff, approvals, interviews etc.
- Interact with the project team and resolve their problems. Give suggestions and solutions and alternative proposals when required.
- Coordinate with the project team for all information and submit required project reports timely.
- Monitor the work of the team and ensure correct documentation and detailed and correct inventory of the site.
- Guide the juniors and coach and prepare them to take higher responsibilities.
- Collect client feedback on the quality of delivery and satisfaction with the project progress.
Managerial Responsibilities
- Guide team in preparation of complete design of the structures.
