Responsibilities & Duties:

- To undertake independently the commissioning,installation,maintenance,trouble shooting,repair/overhaul of MTU products & its associated equipment at MTU service center or at site in accordance with MTU manuals & specific instructions.

- To be capable in resolving the technical matters & completing the services according to the works order & the acceptance of the customers & managers.

- To provide the service / investigation reports where applicable.

- To provide failure analysis: Compiling & dispatching the necessary failure;identifying possible causes of failure, recommending component and/or maintenance modifications. 5 To handle customer relations:Participate in meetings with customers, understanding their requirements with patience and empathy,communicating in professional & tactful manner & communicating with them to determine future requirements.

- To handle dealer, OEM relations: Partner with dealers/ OEMs to provide optimal MTU service to customers, guide or advise dealer personnel where necessary.

- To liase with respective supervisors and / or in house technical specialist for technical assistance wherever necessary.

- To develop and update his own skills and knowledge, to meet the job requirements through training & self learning.

- To advise, instruct & train the new team members in carrying out assigned tasks, in using MTU documentation, tools, customers drawings etc. for the tasks.

- To observe the safety regulations and guidelines when performing work at customer's site or in house.

- Adherence to Company Policy and Procedure (CPP)

- Special Assignment from time to time.

Experience :

- At least 6 years practical experience on diesel engines and their applications, with minimum 3 years working on a large diesel engine (- 1500 KW), MTU experience preferred.

- Good knowledge of engines in terms of installation,operation,maintenance & repair.

Personal Attributes :

- Good in English, good computer skills, ability to write accurate reports.

- Strong drive & initiative, with the ability to work under pressure; able to work independently & good problem solving & analytical skills.

- Familiar with ISO 9001 standards and the quality management system

- Good customer service skills and ability to gel with diverse teams

- Willing to travel extensively across India and occasionally out of India
