SR GROUP - Senior Purchase Executive (6-10 yrs)
Job description
Sr. Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, arranging resources, and developing vendors for a construction company that specializes in infrastructure and industrial projects. Sr. Purchaser is required to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality. The role requires the individual to have excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities:-
Purchase of Goods and Services:
1) Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.
2) Identify potential vendors and conduct market research to determine the best suppliers for specific goods and services.
3) Review and analyze purchase requisitions to determine the most cost-effective and appropriate procurement method.
4) Prepare and issue purchase orders and manage the procurement process from start to finish.
5) Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
Resources Arrangement :
1) Plan and manage the allocation of resources for construction projects.
2) Develop resource management plans that align with project schedules and budgets.
3) Coordinate with project managers to identify resource requirements and ensure resources are available when needed.
4) Monitor resource usage and utilization to ensure optimal allocation of resources.
Vendor Development:
1) Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality goods and services.
2) Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to ensure the best possible value for the company.
3) Monitor vendor performance and resolve any issues or disputes.
4) Continuously evaluate vendors to ensure they are meeting the company's standards and requirements.
Reporting and Documentation:
1) Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, resource allocations, and vendor contracts.
2) Prepare reports on procurement activities and resource utilization for senior management.
3) Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Qualifications :
1) Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
2) Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, resource management, and vendor development in the construction industry.
3) Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5) Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
6) Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
