Key Responsibilities

The person should have more experience in operation of Utilities. Maintenance of Utilities is required, but more requirement of operations of utilities. The Lead Utilities is responsible to plan and drive uninterrupted economic utilities operations safely while meeting all statutory and organizational requirements within budgeted costs and time. The role also provides inputs to Head Engineering for preparation of budgets for Utilities function. Perform equal to business and organizational requirements.

Experience:14-20 Yrs

Qualification: BE/B Tech(Mechanical/Chemical)

Position Purpose

Preventive / Predictive planning Scheduling of plant equipment.

Equipments spare management

Inventory level of critical spares & consumable spares for plant.

Cost control of repair / maintenances of equipments.

Planning of the shutdown jobs and its manpower managements.

Ensure that no production gets delay on cost of equipments failure.

Erection and commissioning of the new equipments.

Documentation to be done for the ISO, BSC.

Train the working crew for the job safety and general safety.

Operation of utilities equipment's - compressor, pumps, chiller, cooling towers

Monitoring of the operating and process parameters of Utilities equipment- s

Maintaining the critical spares of the Utilities equipment- s

Ensuring and maintaining the equipment availability and performance

Exposure and experience in operation of low temperature chilling systems ( -35 Deg C & -15 Deg C )

Good Knowledge of boilers operation

Laisoning with Boiler authorities

Reports preparation and performance monitoring of Utilities equipment- s

Exploring avenues for Energy conservation and savings

Attending equipment's PM & breakdown Exposure to failure analysis

Knowledge of HAZOP, ISO, SAP, TPM & Spares Planning .

Strategic

- Assist Head Engineering in techno commercial inputs pertaining to plant and machineries, plant maintenance and utilities

- Assist in manpower selections and utilization related to plant maintenance

Operational & Financial

- Direct, coordinate and supervise all utilities maintenance and workshop activities at site

- Drive compliance to KPOV of Utilities

- Ensure adherence to PM schedule

- Maintain documents related to PM check list, condition appraisal, Equipment History card

- Critical spares & Insurance spares Identification and stock levels maintaining

- Improvement of existing maintenance practices

- Improve the effectiveness of AMT/DMT of Utilities

- Spares specification enhancement to improve /ensure quality of Incoming good

- Ensure safe and pleasant work environment in Utility plant during and after completion of work

- Ensure reduction in incident including first aid

- Follow all safety permits without any deviation

- Maintain proper discipline for proper use of PPE's for self and subordinates & to achieve zero accident while doing maintenance wor

- Ensure adherence to the planned budget for Utilities

People

- Ensure safety & high productivity at the workplace

- Facilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-upgradation initiatives for the team

Actively drive, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the team

Educational Qualification

- B.E Mechanical/ Chemical

Previous Experience

- 12-15 years in Utilities Maintenance

Industry to be hired from

- Agro-API-Fine-Chemicals- Petrochemicals

Functional Competencies

- Ability to handle day to day maintenance and operation of power plant and electrical maintenance with the help of engineers

- Ability to solve technical issues

- Possesses manpower handling and counselling abilities

- Knowledge of QMS and ISO systems

- Good Technical knowledge of own as well as related fields

- Familiar with software like SAP etc.

- Preferably qualified Energy manager

Behavioral and Leadership Competencies

- Ability to establish rapport, credibility and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Good communication skills

- Good decision making skills

- Ability to work under pressure and adjust priorities in a fast changing environment
