Store Incharge - Steel Plant (9-15 yrs)
Desired Qualities :
1. Working experience must in mini/integrated steel plants
2. Thorough knowledge of book keeping, spares, consumables and capital equipment used in steel mills
3. Must be conversant with business ERP systems - SAP modules of stores and inventory
4. Well conversant with materials management and inventory control
5. Excellent competency in data entry, analysis and management
6. Should have worked in the capacity of stores in-charge for 5-6 years
7. Man-material management, inventory control, assessment and planning of spares and consumables for plant operations in liaison with production heads
8. Liaison with procurement, logistics and suppliers for follow up of raw materials and consumables
9. Excellent communication skills, Generation of MIS, consumption and production reports as required by the Management
10. Optimization of resources
11. Self-starter / motivated, should be able to lead the team with initiatives and comply with Management policies
12. Overseas exposure must
Responsibilities :
1. Maintain receipts, records, issues and stocks of spares and consumables
2. Maintain stocks and perform stock related activities
3. Inspect deliveries for damage and discrepancies
4. Ensure adequate record keeping of inventory and manage all documentation
5. Complete store administration and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
6. Follow and maintain proper stacking of commodities / 5-S
7. Maintain and circulate daily records on inventory of spares and consumables
8. Daily updating of system records for inwards and issues
9. Alarming respective agencies on inventory levels for initiating procurement process
10. Review and requisite manpower for stores department
11. Developing a team of competent Staff, Technicians and work force
12. Maintaining safe level of inventory of Raw Materials and consumables for Operations
13. Maintaining manpower discipline and enforcing management policies
14. Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedures for all stores activities
15. Working with other managers to implement the company's policies and goals
16. Training and developing local staff for stores activities
17. Ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed and implemented in stores
