Structural Design Engineer - Solar Power Plants (4-7 yrs)
Job Description :
The Structural Design Engineer will conceptualize and create detailed structural designs of solar power plants (SPV) for residential, commercial,and industrial customers (rooftop, ground mount & carports) ranging from 1kW to 5MW.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Prepare and coordinate detailed designs of the superstructure as well as a substructure for RCC, Ground mount and Steel Industrial buildings, canopies, etc.
- Design and prepare structural layout, and foundation drawings in sync with site surveys and Detailed
- Project Reports.
- Independently prepare General Arrangement, Construction drawings, design reports, and BOQs of utility-scale solar PV projects. If required shall demonstrate the design at client office locations or end clients.
Mandatory Requirements :
- Diploma/Degree in B.E Mechanical/Civil or other related disciplines
- 3-5 years of experience in the design of Solar structures.
- Should have the knowledge to Prepare or Review Solar Module Mounting Structure (MMS) & foundations design as per inputs from Site visits. (Location, wind speed, structure tilt, etc) using IS codes and standards.
- Should have the knowledge to Prepare or Review GA, BOQ, Estimates, Design & Manufacturing drawings. Supervise and guide team members in preparing design/drawings within SLAs.
- Expert at AutoCAD, and Solid Works for mechanical design, sheet metal design, and drafting and file management.
- Should be able to develop structural analysis reports using Staad Pro.
- Capable to prepare the following drawings
- Contour layout
- Inverter mounting arrangements
- Module cleaning system design
- Fencing drawings
- Ladder Designing and drafting
- Weight Calculation sheets

- Clarifications/solutions to site queries/issues.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and Google Sketch up.
