Substation Design Engineer - GIS & AIS - EPC Project (15-20 yrs)
Education : BE/BTech - EEE/ECE
Job Description :
- Design and Detailed engineering of electrical system for HV & EHV Switchyards &substations (Air insulated & Gas Insulated) up to 765kV systems including Tender Preparation & Evaluation.
- Preparation of design drawing / document schedule in line with project L2 schedule.
- Responsible for Contract Negotiation meetings for Technical evaluation of contractual terms as well as review of General, Particular & Special conditions of contract.
- Preparation/checking of switchyard &substation preliminary as well as detailed design (includes SLDs, layout, Earthing, Lightning, Cable trench, Illumination, Power & Control cable schedules, Engineering calculations - Battery sizing, Cable sizing (EHV/HV/LV), Bus bar sizing, Transformer, DG set, SCF, Critical span & Sag Tension).
- Validation of Manufacturer credentials, Equipment datasheets, Equipment drawings & Quality documents.
- Air insulated &Gas Insulated equipment (GIS) vendor evaluation with respect to technical requirements, Type test reports & other qualification documents. Further introduction of new vendors in the field of switchyards. (Vide Chinese, Koreans etc.)
- Electrical equipment Inspection and assurance of Technical & Quality at manufacturer works, further coordination in timely delivery to execution site.
- Pre-Tender Engineering and preparation of BOQ for EPC projects - Domestic & International (Bangladesh, Malaysia & Thailand, African countries).
- Pre bid site visits, Technical analysis & feasibility reports on bidding projects.
- Pre award, Post award &;kick of meetings for the EPC contracts with client.
- Training on electrical design aspects of Switchyards &substation to the client/ end users.
- Discussions with Clients and Consultants for drawing Approvals & Design issues.
