Job Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for leading field crews to meet project goals in a safe manner. In addition, the Superintendent will be responsible to lead General Foremen's, Foremen's and their crews on projects and ensure accurate reporting of daily time, material and provide information to the manager on a regular basis as directed.

Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support and leadership to field employees and customers to maximize performance Safety, Quality, Productivity and financial results.

- Possess knowledge of the work they are responsible to cover, i.e. equipment and materials used to complete the work, sequencing of the work, potential safety hazards and appropriate controls.

- Provide clear and concise verbal direction to crews, negotiate with customers and communicate with management.

Communicate via written project submittals, change orders and purchase orders.

- Review of project plans and specifications.

- Basic computer and organizational skills needed.

- Daily oversight of crews in the field to maximize performance which includes ensuring safety compliance among employees. This includes reviewing job briefings and providing feedback to those who are completing them.

- Thoroughly understand estimate of the project so that baseline work execution mirrors expected production. This will give early indication of potential changes in scope or performance issues that can be addressed timely with the appropriate people.

Scheduling of crews/equipment and ensuring materials are readily available for jobs.

- Review and approve daily timesheets to verify job performance as well as accuracy for job tracking and billing.

- Contribute to the bidding process by field walking down job bids and providing input to the estimators.

- Customer support and relationship development to generate additional work opportunities.Other Skills: technical computer ms office
