Position : Supplier Quality Engineer - (Preferred exposure in Forging machined, Gear mfg commodity)

Experience: 10 to 12 Years in Automotive industry in supplier quality function with global exposure.

Location - Pune

Qualification: Diploma/B. Tech / B. E - Mechanical / Production

Role Summary:

1. Achieving Supplier Quality goals for assigned supplier base & commodity.

2. Meeting SQD goals across product group for quality incidents, First time Quality PPAP- s, on-time completion of APQP milestone and ensure smooth launches.

3. Working in a boundary-less manner with diverse global teams to achieve the above results.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Supplier Quality Engineer- has to develop & maintain objectives to achieve the following responsibilities:

1. Accurate & rigorous evaluation of current and potential suppliers using supplier assessment questionnaires.

2. Develop positive relationships and work closely with purchasing teams to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, technical reviews and new part development thru Procedures.

3. Ability to understand & support supplier proposals on fixture design, process & equipment selection, operations & procedures, process qualification, designing & validating measurement systems for attribute & variable measurement systems.

4. On-time execution of New Component development thru program management.

5. Maintain & upgrade product & process quality at suppliers.

6. Identify & qualify new products & suppliers in the region to drive growth.

7. Collaborate with other functions as required to execute APQP and improve supplier performance.

8. Assists in identifying, communicating and resolving early-stage supplier quality problems during launch and escalating accordingly to drive resolution.

9. Conduct periodic audits at supplier site.

10. Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA is must. VAD 6.3 certified auditor is preferred.

Desired Characteristics: Steadiness in performance, has the ability to stand up well under stress ability to stand his ground, self-motivated.

Travel: 50% minimum within India.
