Supply Chain Quality Assurance Engineer/Manager - Automotive (15-19 yrs)
Our Client is currently searching for a Supply Chain Quality Engineer/Manager to join their team.
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to fulfill an opening as a SENIOR Supply Chain Quality Assurance Engineer/Manager at their Bangalore facility. Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills and an overall strong quality focus. They must be able to work within cross-functional teams to meet and improve upon established quality and delivery goals. A minimum of three years of quality assurance experience is desired.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead/Manage supplier performance improvement efforts aligned to department and organizational goals
- Conduct root cause analysis, ensuring that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards
- Interface with customers, suppliers and various company departments to resolve quality problems
- Lead supplier audit preparation, audit, and audit resolution
- Lead resolution of supplier quality issues, including manufacturing/program support
- Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement events relating to Quality and Delivery improvements
- Provide project management guidance and support to projects and processes
- Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
- Exercise independent judgement in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Create powerful, multi-functional networks, both internal and external to Rockwell Collins
- Provide project management support for multiple, complex audit projects and related teams
- Develop standard work and templates for Supply Chain Quality Assurance Engineer processes
Must Have Requirements:
Desired Skills:
- Experience with AS9100, or similar, Quality Management System (QMS) standards
- Supplier Management, Project Management and Change Management experience
- Experience with continuous improvement, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, 9S, etc.
- Strong presentation skills - able to analyze and present data to all levels of leadership
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
STEM Bachelor's degree is required.
Candidate must meet/have the minimum qualifications/experience:
A minimum of 15 years- experience in Quality Assurance (A background in research and development, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or product/component engineering is also acceptable) as well as experience with Root Cause Analysis is required.
