Job Description : Mechanical Engineer
The Mechanical engineer is responsible for the overall management of Utility equipment maintenance & Facility maintenance. Successful management of Utility & Facility maintenance areas will be accomplished through application of technical expertise in conjunction with use of analytical tools, active involvement and development of work teams, appropriate coaching and feedback, effective resource utilization and visible team leadership.
Responsibilities include :
- Maintenance Planning ( PM& AMCs) & execution for utility Equipment, WWTP,& Fire protection equipment.
- Maintenance Planning ( PM & AMCs) & execution for Building Infrastructure equipments (Lifts, Hoists & Material Handling Equipment)
- Facility Maintenance Planning for Building, Roads, Yard & Drainage Systems
- Ownership of Property Loss Control Guidelines compliance& Audit observation compliance.
- Ownership for all regulatory Permits & Testing requirements pertaining to Utilities, Building & PLC
- Plan & execute CEB projects in Utility area
- Continuous improvement efforts in regards to processes that drive business performance in key performance indicators for the utility & Facility maintenance areas (e.g. Sustainability KPIs, asset utilization, operational efficiency) while meeting quality, GMP, Statutory and safety performance expectations.
- Foster and/or develop productive partnerships with vendors, suppliers, Engineering work teams to enhance equipment performance and/or quality of operating supplies/services.
- Demonstrate active support for continuous improvement projects.
- Support EOHS initiatives which will drive the Total Recordable Rate (TRR) and Lost Work Day (LWD) rates.
- Support the Quality initiatives by maintaining Critical utility equipments in up-to-date condition, on-time completions of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) review with teams; and Quality audit preparation initiatives.
- Implement the standards of Factory Performance & Reliability (FP&R) within the Utility teams, with focused emphasis in regards to People Capability, Visual Workplace, Autonomous Maintenance and Continuous Improvement.
- Assist the plant to achieve Fund-the-Growth Savings by decreasing total energy costs and active participation in the plant funding the Growth (FTG) ideation session.
- Improves factory cash flow by effectively managing operating & maintenance expenses, capital expenditures and inventory.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years in FMCG / Pharmaceutical or similar experience is preferred.
- Experience and understanding of the Statutory and regulatory requirements within a Utility & ETP.
- Ability to build and lead effective teams to solve problems, make decisions, and take action within the organization.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as coaching and feedback skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and manage in ambiguous situations.
