Job Description
As an expert in setting up and ensuring should-costing systems for future generation cost of the Product like Standard Costing & Process Costing you shall be responsible for:-
- Lead Product cost reduction in a target oriented manner through should cost & cost analytics and need to have business IMPACT from should cost programs.
- Involve in Product strategy (Design & Cost) for NPI and existing Co. products through competitive benchmarking, technology landscaping & Should cost with focus on Electrical and Electronics parts/assemblies, in specific Motors, alternators and areas like Electrical windings, Rotors, Stators, Magnets and Motor Casings- etc
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in should costing and cost engineering discipline and acts as a coach to cross functional teams. This position leads the deployment of the Should costing, Value engineering, Value analysis and Cost Engineering processes, tools and training using Standard Company's best practices.
Job Responsibility:
- Responsible for should costing and Design to Cost analysis for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Co.'s Legacy products.
- Accountable to be part of costing negotiation process and has to influence for cost reduction and cost avoidance.
- Accountable on cost reduction or cost avoidance target of the business.
- Has to be involved in Cost reduction product throughout the life cycle of the product.
- Recommend improvements to cost competitiveness,
- Optimize processes and identify cost opportunities,
- Prepare input for cost plan projections,
- Negotiate technical issues across functions,
- Consult with and advise product development engineers on economic alternatives for their design and suggest trade-offs.
The Successful Applicant:
You will be a qualified CBE/ME - Electrical and Electronics Engineering OR Mechatronics Or Mechanical with Motor Should Costing Experience between 10-17 years of post qualification experience dealing with E&E and/or electromechanical products, in specific Motors, alternators and areas like Electrical windings, Rotors, Stators, Magnets and Motor Casings- etc. Should have executed multiple NPI and/or cost out (VAVE) programs in close interaction with manufacturing/ Suppliers/ Sales/ Service / Customers and with use of Global economics data.
Besides, Strong experience in Electrical / PCBA manufacturing on the shop-floor is required.
