Technical Engineer - Factory (1-3 yrs)
Our client is a globally respected, top company in the area of electronics. For their upcoming projects in India, they are looking for An Engineer with two years experience in implementation of automation/EMS projects to support field installations (wiring, PLC logic, programming, knowledge on network protocols, EMS systems and interaction with plant engineering team)
The selected individual:
- Would play a key role in project implementation and coordination with vendors, service providers and plant operational team for project implementation
- Strong understanding of IT/OT Connectivity, Able to gather the shop floor data from industrial/IoT gateways, edge servers, OPC systems, connecting PLC data into Cloud applications.
KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:
Essential:
- Able to retrieving data from PLCs, drives, control panels, sensors, meters and various process equipment to central server
- Knowledge of PLC programming logic and HMI Screens
- Knowledge on reading the P & I drawings and preparing the IO List
- Experience with communication protocol networks such as CAN, Profi, Modbus, TCP/IP, Ethernet, RS485, SPI, OPC-UA, Bluetooth
Desirable:
- Technical component & connectivity expertise in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFD's and knowledge in using various networking protocols
- Should have fair understanding of or willing to evaluate and learn Siemens/Rockwell/ Emerson/Honeywell/ ABB - DCS/PLC/SCADA/BMS/EMS/FAS Systems
- Fair understanding about embedded systems, controllers, IoT, IIoT, Industry 4.0
- Fair understanding about functionality of various utilities and process equipment's and knowledge on energy management, energy conservation and auditing concepts
- Experience in instrumentation with level, pressure, temperature, weight, flow, analytical instruments, energy meters, VFD and control valves and its applications and limitations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core:
- Key member of project implementation team
- Interact with client engineering teams to explain requirements
- Support sales team regarding the technical aspect of the opportunity including job walk through, scope, potential BOM's and assist in developing techno commercial proposal.
- Maintain good relation with clients, vendors, sub-contractors and their teams
- Data validation and other actives as assigned by report manager
Day to Day:
- Visit customers for project implementation as well as with sales teams, channel partners (Distribution) based on the need.
- Manage the field team during project implementations at client locations
- Guide and coordinate the internal and external teams for field implementation
- Supporting in building the demos to help the customer visualize the main solution concepts (proof of concept)
- Through testing and validation of EMS application before handing over to the client
- Coordinate with client team for election and commissioning of required hardware, cables, civil and mechanical works
- Document all required information for each site (technical report)
MINIMUM ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelors in engineering (specialization in Instrumentation/Electronics/ Industrial Automation/Electrical/ Embedded systems/Power Electronics)
Technical and Functional Experience:
- 1 to 2 years industry technical service experience in designing and implementing factory automation and networking solutions
- 1 to 2 years- experience in PLC Programing and fair understating of network communication protocols
- Experience with systems supporting automation, smart manufacturing, IoT, IIoT and industry 4.0
Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowing Hindi and other regional language will be an asset
Travel: Must be willing and able to travel throughout the country and abroad (on need basis)
Computer skills: E-mail (Fully proficient), Internet (Fully proficient), Spreadsheets (Fully proficient), Word processing (Fully proficient), Proficiency in the MS Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
