- One of the process automations giants is looking for Technical Specialist - Metals (Automation)
Location - Bangalore
- Experience- 10+ years of relevant work experience in Automation systems with relevant process experience in Metals domain specifically in long product rolling mills.
Qualification : Minimum B.Tech/ B.E/ Diploma from a reputed University with First Class in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics engineering.
Job Description :
- Will be responsible for development, enhancements & maintenance of profile mill (Long product rolling mills) solution for global business line of Metals
- Will be responsible for supporting execution team in implementation of complex control functions of profile mill controls as per the need
- Will be responsible for pre-sales and sales support for validation of proposed hardware and software architecture of the project based on requirement specifications.
- Performance guarantee parameters to be validated
- Candidate may need to travel to sites for commissioning of automation systems for long product rolling mills or trouble shooting automation or process related issues for these rolling mills or other type of rolling mills/ metals processes
- Will be responsible for technical deliveries, commissioning & Service of the systems or delivering service solutions to end customer
- Should have deep knowledge in long product rolling mill process
Key Skills :
Should have thorough knowledge in :
- Industrial Automation systems for rolling mills.
- Application/process know how of long product rolling mills.
- Application development experience
- Working on standardizing the control solution
- Should have experience in handling automation projects comprising of engineering & commissioning for process industries like Metals specially for long product mills.
- Knowledge of DCS/ PLC HW/SW Components
- Knowledge in application programming & HMI development/ modifications for PLC/ DCS systems
- Knowledge on different communication protocols used between PLC & Drives or in automation
- Knowledge of below ABB systems is added advantage:
1. ABB automation systems like 800xA, Advant, Compact HMI etc.
2. ABB ACS880 multi drive, standalone drives
3. ABB ACS800 multi drive, standalone drives
4. ABB DCS800 LVDC drives Soft skills
- A quick grasp for user and functional requirements
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
