Job Description :
a) Repair & Service :
1. Analyze the job orders to identify what work has been agreed. In case the job order is not clear, seek clarification from the Service Advisor
2. Inspect the general condition of the vehicle and make note of any additional damages or repair required
3. Perform repair work as directed, within manufacturer's timescales and in accordance with established and documented procedures
4. Ensure that job card is signed after completion of work.
5. Provide written details on completed Job orders, ensuring hours and materials used are accurately and appropriately recorded
6. Ensure all warranty and exchange Parts are properly labelled and returned to the Warranty/Parts office
7. Determine which parts and tools will be required for a given repair or service
8. Inform the Service Advisor and the Workshop Manager if a part needs to be ordered
9. Ensure that any unused part/s is returned to parts department immediately
10. Test vehicles and provide diagnostic reports to the service advisor / workshop manager
11. If additional work is required inform service Advisor and follow the necessary steps for making sure the customer is contacted
12. Observe, recognize and report on vehicle and component serviceability
b) Compliance to Guidelines :
1. Ensure compliance of vehicles with industry safety standards when returned to customer and that any faults noted have been reported on the job card
2. Maintain the condition and inventory of tools provided by the company at all time. Ensure that only calibrated tools and equipment are used for repairs or servicing
3. Report any defects found on tools or major equipment to the workshop manager
4. Ensure that all special tools and equipment and technical literature is returned in clean and working condition to their original location
5. Ensure compliance to all dealer policies & practices and cleanliness standards are maintained
6. Ensure that the requirement of special tools for the job is conveyed to the Workshop Manager
c) Customer Satisfaction
1. Safeguard and protect the customer's vehicle and its contents while being repaired or serviced
2. Ensure the customer's old parts are neatly handed over to the customer
1. Recruitment profile :
1. Educational Qualifications: 10 th pass/ extensive technical experience
2. Industry : Auto [2 wheeler preferred]
3. Minimum experience: 0-5 years [as per level of technician]
4. Profile: extensive technical experience especially for automobiles [2 wheelers], adherence to processes and norms
5. Passions/ Interests: Passionate about Royal Enfield and motorcycling, owns/ rides one himself
