Job Title: Techno-commercial Project Head - Seamless Pipe Plant

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualification and Previous Work Experience:

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering

- 20-25 years of relevant experience in managing Greenfield and Brownfield projects in the Seamless Pipe Plant/ Steel Industry

- Must have at least 5 years of experience specifically in seamless pipe plant projects

- In-depth knowledge of seamless pipe plant processes and technical aspects

Key Deliverables:

Project Planning and Design:

- Actively participate in project conceptualization and preparation of the Project Design basis for a greenfield seamless plant

- Technical Knowledge of Seamless pipe/tube manufacturing process and aware with latest technology available in the industry

- Interact with authorities, government agencies, and industry experts to obtain accurate knowledge of various requirements, standards, local practices, and procedures

Cost Monitoring:

- Participate in the preparation of the initial budget and ensure adherence throughout the project life cycle

- Closely monitor and report actual costs versus the budget and analyze variances

- Evaluate alternate options without compromising quality or functionality, resulting in cost/time savings

- Implement techniques of modular construction practice to expedite project execution

- Ensure complete adherence to work specifications and quality of workmanship

Project Ownership:

- Lead the project team towards achieving common goals

- Take overall responsibility for delivering the project with the desired quality, within the stipulated time, and within the approved budget

- Lead the discussions with OEMs and conduct techno-commercial negotiations; Lead the evaluation of contractors

- Organize periodic reviews, identify critical activities, and initiate corrective steps to ensure timely progress

- Report the progress status periodically and escalate major issues to the head office as needed

Site Management and Construction Safety:

- Establish the project office and various control systems at the site

- Take complete charge of site activities, including contractor mobilization, insurance, and permits

- Seek timely approvals for variations and track their impact on cost and time

Value-Adding Inputs:

- Ensure timely capitalization and manage various other project closure activities with the help of the plant team

- Exhibit strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills

- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with the team
