Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Astronomy, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.

- Proven experience in building and/or designing telescopes (professional or personal projects).

- Strong understanding of optical principles, including collimation, focal ratios, and aberrations.

- Proficiency in using optical design software (e.g., Zemax, Code V) and CAD tools.

- Familiarity with telescope mounts (alt-azimuth, equatorial), guiding systems, and motorized components.

- Experience with imaging technologies such as CCD/CMOS cameras and filters.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with Ritchey-Chr- tien, Dobsonian, or refractor telescope designs.

- Knowledge of adaptive optics, spectrographs, or interferometry.

- Experience in developing or integrating telescope control software.

- Previous involvement in observational astronomy or astrophotography projects.

Job Description: Telescope Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled individual with hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing telescopes. The role involves developing optical systems, assembling telescope components (mirrors, lenses, mounts), testing and calibrating for performance, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should have a degree in Optical Engineering, Astronomy,

Physics, or related fields, with experience in telescope design (e.g., Ritchey-Chr- tien, refractors) and optical software (e.g., Zemax). Knowledge of adaptive optics, imaging systems, and telescope control systems is a plus.
