Area of Responsibility :

The team is responsible for the specification, test and delivery of all Body ECUs. Responsibilities will include management and direct delivery of :

- Build, Mentor and Manage a team of engineers to develop and execute Automation tests

- Project planning and task allocation planning along with Program Leads

- Provide leadership in the definition of validation requirements, defining testing strategies and execution

- Participate in Customer meetings and management meetings

- Ensure Deliverable quality and on-time delivery within budget

- Review Status of Quality & process KPIs and report to Senior Management on weekly basis

- Forecast, budget, deploy and manage test resources based on program needs

- Planning and organizing test infrastructure to address the new programs

- Ensure the knowledge management and sharing across project teams

- Prepare and manage risk reduction plans and strategies.

- Identify training requirements for team members and execute with the help of training departments

- Work closely within QA&TS test team, development team and architects to ensure a robust strategy is in place.

- Ensure participation of testers in ALL steps of the development life cycle and remain accountable for producing high-quality documents / test results.

- Initiate and implement quality improvement activities as appropriate to improve testing performance and efficiency.

- Look for and suggest process improvements and continuous quality measures across the development lifecycle.

- Collaborate with other SMEs/ Leads/ test engineers to implement these where possible.

- Manage / coordinate resource allocation for projects to ensure optimum capacity utilization.

- Exposure to in testing tools

- Monitor the test team to ensure that the results are being delivered as per plan.

- Provide domain and technical guidance to the test team from both manual as well as automation perspective.

- Works as a self-starter and prefers to complete responsibilities with less supervision.

- Manage and ensure internal customer expectations are met from work delivery stand point.

Knowledge / Experience :

- 2- 7 years of experience in System Testing and Validation for Automotive ECUs.

- Knowledge and experiences in system and software qualification in Automated test environment

- Expertise in Automotive systems - Body ECU

- Expertise in Labcar build, Labcar test process, Labcar testing

- Expertise in Integration testing and vehicle testing

- Experience in Automotive protocol: CAN, UDS, OBD-2, LIN.

- Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE), regarding verification, validation and integration process areas

- Proven experience in embedded systems design with pre-emptive, multitasking.

- Excellent knowledge of CAN communication, Diagnostic protocols (J1939/UDS/KWP), interfaces and hardware subsystems.

- Strong documentation and writing skills

- Target driven, good analytical skills, Understanding of design practices and national/international standards.

- Technical project management, decision making capability and accountability is essential.

- Documentation of Technical Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, Timing Plans, Minutes and Actions of Meetings.

- Experience of the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model).

- Organised, systematic and understand the process of fault finding.

- Experience in Automotive protocol: CAN, UDS, OBD-2, LIN.

- Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE), regarding verification, validation and integration process areas

- Project Planning/Estimation and Resource management skills - JIRA/ MS Project.

- Intermediate understanding of the customer services and business processes

- Manage the Daily/Weekly activities of the Test

- Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or customers

- Contribute to program/project review meetings. Determining status, assessing problem areas, suggesting and reviewing corrective actions,

- Work within quality assurance frameworks to ensure stability, efficiency and scalability

- Provide authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution.
