Role Summary :

As Test Engineer - Infotainment you will be responsible for the test, validation, verification and delivery of state-of-the-art electronic infotainment features to current and future road cars.

The infotainment systems team is responsible for displays, antennas, infotainment master controllers, HMI, switchgear including driver controls, and audio systems responsible for the specification, test, and delivery of all network modules, The position requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player with exceptional attention to detail, diligence, and a positive attitude. Area of Responsibility :

The Infotainment team is responsible for the specification, test, and delivery of all infotainment systems.

Responsibilities will include management and direct delivery of :

- Manage a cross-functional global team to collectively deliver all aspects of the Infotainment platform on current and future vehicles including:

- Develop and coordinate detailed system & Test specifications for all infotainment features.

- Manage and Contribute a core engineering test team to ensure robust delivery of all systems and integration sign-off

- Manage and execute testing of all software deliveries including overseeing the development of all test facilities necessary to validate the full suite of vehicle electronics features

- Take responsibility for resolving issues on current production and development vehicles.

- Report on current activities, software status, and issues at all levels of the business including executive reporting.

- Develop and coordinate DVP plans for all areas associated with the infotainment commodities.

- Perform tests, track bug status, evaluate test results, and submit test reports.

- Have a good understanding of the software/hardware development life cycle, software/hardware quality process;

- Responsible for issue preliminary analysis, timely feedback, issue tracking, etc;

- Follow company processes, including test processes, release processes, bug tracking processes

Knowledge / Experience :

- Strong technical project management with proven evidence of decision making and accountability is essential.- It is core to the success of our business that these primary

- Roles have the required level of leadership and motivation to succeed;

- Documentation of Technical Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, Timing Plans, Minutes, and Actions of Meetings.

- Experience in the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model).

- Organised, systematic, and understand the process of fault-finding.

- Experience in Automotive protocol: CAN, UDS, OBD-2, LIN.

- Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE), regarding verification, validation, and integration process areas

- Project Planning/Estimation and Resource management skills - JIRA/ MS Project

- Must have worked in creating a test case, executing Automation and Manual testing

- Good Knowledge in Testing Automotive Infotainment features such as - MOST,

- Navigation, Wi-Fi, Apple Car Play, Hands-Free, BT, TTS, Audio & Video Systems

- Experience in Bench Level, Labcar and Vehicle system Testing

- Added advantage in Android or Linux-based IVI system testing.

- Experience in project management and defect logging tools.

- Working knowledge of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto user interfaces

- Bluetooth Profiles - HFP, AVP, A2DP, Wi-Fi protocols.

- Ability to interface With QA Lead Regarding Release Schedules, Training, Testing

- Schedule Assistance, & Review Test Cases (soft skills are key)

- Able to perform Rapid Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Troubleshooting of Issues
