Thermal Engineer (7-10 yrs)
Profile summary:
The candidate will be part of the HEV (Heavy Electric Vehicle) department with the core responsibility of product development from concept to product deployment. Should be an expert in development of Thermal Management Systems of Batteries used in Electric Vehicle. Experience in Heavy Electric Vehicles is an advantage.
Roles & responsibilities:
Hands-on experience in all stages of Development of Thermal Management systems from concept to deployment.
Oversee and contribute to the thermal architecture of the Charging Station and the Vehicle Battery Pack as per the required attributes and behaviors
Drive the schema and layout of the coolant and refrigerant piping used in the Thermal Management system of the charging station, constraint to the performance expectations.
Drive the selection of cooling components such as compressor, condenser, cooling pump, expansion valve etc to be used both in the Charging station and the vehicle Battery Thermal Management system.
In-depth understanding of EV vehicle and Charger station architecture and Requirement design through Design Process.
Should be able to conduct root cause analysis & propose cost-effective solutions using a problem-solving technique
Should be Capable to handle Design Documentation and Design Process.
Should be capable of carrying out DFMEA
Should be capable of carrying out RCA
Key requirements:
Of product design standards, testing standards related to cooling systems used in vehicles
ON Experience on SOR, DV, Design calculation and FMEA experience in CAD, Coolant and Refrigerant Piping layout to interact with customers/vendors on Design discussion, developments, and Requirements. commutation skills with the ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams working across the company.
Ideal candidate:
With Min 1 to 5 years of work experience in Automotive Thermal Systems from product-based Design and Development industries are preferred. excellent problem-solving skills & self-driven ownership of the product from drawing board to production and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Should take initiatives with Proactive approach to resolve technical challenges
