Titagarh - RAMS Engineer (5-12 yrs)
1. To perform RAMS analysis such as Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Sub system Hazards Analysis, System Hazard Analysis and Operations and Support Hazard Analysis.
2. System Assurance/ RAMS Planning such as Safety Management system development, Project Safety / RAMS plan development, Operational Safety / RAMS plan development and Safety Management System implementation
3. Assurance Audits and Assessments such as Independent Competent Person Audit /Assessment
4. To monitor, review and drive the progress of the supplier's activities related to RAMS deliverables during the various stages of project life cycle. To verify the suppliers RAMS data in line with the contractual and end customer requirements.
5. To interact with cross functional team and participate in problem solving process along with project team.
6. To perform Safety Assessment for non-compliances, Independent Verification and Validation and Design Verification
7. To perform detailed assessment and analysis as,
a. Undertaking and checking of HAZOP and HAZID studies
b. Undertaking and assessment of Qualitative and Quantitative risk assessment
c. Implementation and checking of detailed analysis including: FMECA, FTA / ETA, Root Cause Analysis Reliability / Availability modelling
8. To perform (Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) process) and able to manage the CR's.
9. RAM implementation planning such as:
a. Development and review of reliability proof documentation (RAM demonstration planning)
b. Development and review of reliability assurance documentation (Reliability Growth Analysis, Reliability demonstration reporting from both physical and predicted data)
c. Development and review of maintainability demonstration planning and reports
10. Operational Safety Analysis:
a. Assessment of operational safety across technical and operational process aspects
b. Development and review of operational plans and procedures for safety operations
c. Assessment and audit of operational compliance
Skills:
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge across all rail engineering aspects and operations with specialist in key areas such as:
- Rolling Stock/Train Control/Signalling
- Tools knowledge: RAM commander, Isograph or Reliasoft etc.,
- Computer skills: MS Office; Visio
- Familiarity with MIL, CENELEC (EN 50126, EN 50128 & EN 50129) and IEC standards.
- Good command of the English language, both written and oral
Role Summary:
The role of RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety) Engineer is to undertake rail related engineering and operational assessment and analysis to provide assurance that systems under review are acceptably safe and /or available for rail operational service. The assessment and analysis activities can be undertaken at any stage of a railway life cycle from conception through specification, design, manufacture, test and commissioning, operations, maintenance, modification and less frequently decommissioning. The role therefore requires knowledge and experience of all engineering and operational aspects of railways coupled with well-developed assessment and analysis skills.
