Job Title : Sales Application Engineer - MV Motors

Location : Tumkur

Basic Function:

Application Engineering for Entire Range of TMEIC Rotating Machines Products, as a support function to TMEIC India Nation-wide Sales Teams (ITO) and Execution (OTR). The overall function shall be focused on meeting business growth for TMEIC in Medium Voltage Electric Motors in the Oil & Gas /Power /Infrastructure /Energy /Cement /Mining /Metals /Water /Sugar and other similar general industries.

Job Responsibilities:

- The Sales & Application Engineer shall support TMEIC PAN India ISBU Sales team. Receive RFQs, prepare technical, commercial, price quotations, support sales teams on winning sales strategies from Application perspective.

- Receive RFQ, understand Technical and Commercial requirements, and make technical & commercial proposals clearly highlighting deviations using TMEIC's Sales Tools, motor sizing & application engineering tool.

- Participate in Pre-bid and bid technical and commercial discussions, as per job requirements

- Support for resolving technical issues during ITO, and OTR phase, support for enlistments & vendor registrations with major OEMs, Consultants, and End Users. Lead and participate in Seminars, and make technical presentations, prepare white papers and contribute towards information generation for growth of company

- Coordinate with engineering and rotating machinery manufacturing divisions in India and in Japan, make ordering data sheets, make arrangements to receive and deliver manufactured equipment, to buyer, Customer acceptance during OTR process

- Participate in drawings approval, testing coordination in TMEIC works

- Support Services Business from Application Engineering Perspective

- Handle entire range of TMEIC RM Products involving Induction, Synchronous, safe, hazardous motors, generators etc.

- Frequent domestic and occasional international travel as per job requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

- 3 to 10 years of Experience in Sales/Application Engg/Design of MV/HV motors for Industrial applications

- Application knowledge for Electric Motors, with clear understanding of its sizing & selection, International IEC, NEMA, and Indian standards, specifications for safe area motors and hazardous area classified motors (Exn, Exe, Exp, Ex-d), generators, synchronous motors etc.

- Excellent Customer Relationship & Cross-functional coordination skills

- Knowledge of Medium Voltage Variable Frequency AC Drive systems as product, application and sales would be an added advantage (Not mandatory)

- Candidate with a Knowledge of Synchronous Motors & Generators would be Preferred.

- Education - B.Tech /BE - Electrical

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience with a reputable Indian or Global Electrical Motors/Generators manufacturing company

- Skills and experience in the use of Automated Software Tools for Electric Motors- application engineering

- Experience of working on technical calculations, and costing for electrical machine
