Position Title : Technology Specialist - Power Electronics [TSTP]

Reporting to : Technical Head - Product Development

Functions to be supervised directly:

Summary of work Environment and Work performed:

- The Technology Specialist is responsible for design and development of reliable Hardware and Firmware for Power electronic products which satisfy the business needs of TMEIC India. The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with proficiency in product development and quality systems with a constant eye for improvements.

- The candidate will work along with a team of multi-disciplined engineers like Mechanical, Power Electronics Hardware and firmware for new product development in a cross-cultural environment. He/she is expected to have strong interpersonal and communication skills and cultural sensitivity to build successful working relationships with Japanese engineers. The candidate is expected to be respectful, patient and possess highest level of integrity and work ethics. Other qualities essential for the candidate are humility, open mindedness, team player and active listening.

To successfully design new products, the candidate must possess qualities like creativity, problem solving skills, time management, resilience, flexibility, and customer focus.

Specific Duties :

- Design, simulate, program and release hardware and firmware for power electronics products and systems from concept.

- Generate supporting documentation as per project requirements.

- Adhere to best practices, design standards, and processes during development.

Successfully design products which are competitive in the market in terms of superior technology, efficiency, serviceability, maintainability, and value to the customer.

Education

Essential: - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics

Desired :

Knowledge :

- Solid knowledge of Power Electronics Fundamentals, Power Switching Devices (IGBT/ MOSFET), SMPS, Magnetics & Gate Driver Design.

- Design/Academic experience of UPS, Inverters, Converters

- Knowledge/Experience in EMI/EMC and Filter design.

- Good knowledge of Control Hardware and Firmware with Microcontroller based solutions.

- Should have working knowledge of Electronics design/Simulation tools such as MATLAB, PSpice, Orcad, Cadence or equivalent tools.

Skills and abilities :

- Good and Consistent Academic Records

- Passion to Succeed and eager to learn new technologies.

- Strong Analytical skills

- Strong Interpersonal skills, Self-motivated and innovative

Positive Attitude & Discipline

Experience :

- 4 to 10 Years of Experience in Design of Power Electronics Equipment

- Hands on experience in product development starting from concept, implementation, testing and installation.

Desired experience:

- Experience in UPS or Solar Industry

- Familiar with Japanese language.
