Transmission Development Engineer

Primary Responsibilities :

- High level of analytical ability, understand engineering theory and principles of design and development

- Strong organizational/communication skills, ability to work with others in a team environment.

- Supports Testing & Validation Department by ensuring tests are completed as per test specifications.

- Experience in automotive powertrain development processes is preferred

- Preparation of the test environment (Should have know-how of application of sensors and adaptation of the electrical interfaces to the respective test environment)

- Independent implementation and / or monitoring of tests (static and dynamic) on internal and external test stands

- Data evaluation or documentation of the test results, creation of test reports as well as implementation and documentation of assessments according to the internal processes

- Support for other areas in test planning, error analysis and End of Line (EOL) test topics

- Coordinates with suppliers regarding preparation of special test environments

- Creation of test bed set up for component, sub-system and system level test requirements

- Timely flexibility to optimally utilize existing test bench capacities (beginning and end of work and duration of work)

- Experience with AVL test bed automation software such as EDACS, PUMA, INCA, CAMEO and INDI etc.

- Experience with data analysis / post processing tools such as Matlab, Canabe, Concerto, DIADEM etc.

- Experience in writing test bed scripts and preparing duty (BSQ/SSQ)

Preferred Qualifications :

- B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Automobile Engineering) as well as relevant experience in the field of transmission and drivetrain development

- Practical knowledge of EV drivetrains and latest state of art transmissions and drivelines

- Accurate, precise work and traceable documentation of test sequences

- Good understanding of technical contexts regarding rotating machines (thermal / mechanical)

- Good English skills in spoken and written English
