UniMech - Manufacturing Engineer (2-6 yrs)
Job Overview :
- An experienced and dedicated Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for manufacturing process planning for precision parts, fabrication and mechanical assembly.
- As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be fully responsible for technical aspects of the project, and for completing the projects on time with zero defect and with an optimum cost.
Manufacturing Engineer Job Roles and Responsibilities :
- Examine component drawings and associated specs, identify raw material details, manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Categorize parts into part families based on the manufacturing processes involved.
- Record part family data into the part risk assessment database.
- Identify complexities in the component manufacturing such as tolerances, features that are difficult to achieve, complicated processes, materials etc.
- Define route cards, identify failure points and take required precautions.
- Identify critical points and provide early warnings to mitigate the risk of schedule slippage.
- Ensure quality and consistency of results, based on the processes involved and their complexity.
- Provide timely updates to the project management regarding project progress.
- Responsible for supplier interactions, communications and negotiations.
- Be aligned with company's vision and mission.
Manufacturing Engineer Skills and Qualifications :
- Diploma/ B.E in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2- 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment. (Additional experience preferred if a Diploma holder)
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes involved in aerospace materials, products and processes such as machining, heat treatment, chemical and electrochemical processes, welding, brazing etc.
- Skilled in Microsoft office tools.
