Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Design of Solar PV Systems (Ground mount and Roof mount Systems)

- Design Reviews and Custom Engineering of Projects.

- Development of Design Tools for Solar PV Systems (MS Excel/VBA/Python)

- Preparation of design documentation of newly developed or existing design tools using MathCAD.

- Prepare engineering reports for design reviews by the AHJ (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) for final approvals prior to construction/installation of PV System.

Desired Academic Skills :

- Suitable candidate should have better understanding of following design aspects :

- Basic Structural Analysis and Design for Gravity Loads.

- Seismic Analysis of Structures (ASCE 7/SEAOC)

- Seismic Design of Aluminum/Steel Structures (ADM/AISC)

- Analysis of Wind Loads (ASCE 7)

- Background in Indeterminate Structural Analysis

- Matrix Structural Analysis (Preferred)

- Linear Finite Element Analysis

- Structural Modelling and Simulations for Dynamic Loads.

Note : A candidate if not familiar with American Design Standards should have sound

- Knowledge of Indian Design Codes (Wind/Seismic Design)

Desired Computational Skills :

Suitable candidate should fair working knowledge of one programming languages :

- VBA (Microsoft Excel)

- Python

- MATLAB (Not mandatory, but will be beneficial at times)

- Working knowledge of software

- STAAD Pro (Preferred)

- SAP2000

- Technical Documentation

- Candidate should have working knowledge of either of software mentioned below. If not, candidate should be keen enough to learn them.

- MathCAD (Preferred)

- MAPLE

- General documentation

- Microsoft Office (Preferred)

- Latex (Not mandatory)

Desired Qualifications :

- Bachelors in Civil Engineering

- Masters in Structural Engineering (Preferred)
