Job Profile:

- Concept and prototype development of new products by benchmarking global practices

- Work on formulation development and keep track of developments in functional ingredients, process chemistry, consumer benchmarking/sensorial attributes.

- Efficiently and successfully formulate new products and improve current products leveraging consumer/customer and marketing feedback, sensory & shelf-life results.

- Identification of vendors with right processes to scale up concepts to commercial level

- Process development and scale up

- Sourcing of ingredients (functional/sensorial); key raw materials

- Commercial working of scaling up and product/process costing

- Quality management principles and processes before scale up of commercial level

- Identifies and advances cost savings and process improvement opportunities.

- Technical/Consumer/Market benchmarking for new concepts

- Continuous process development in manufacturing, procurement and quality.

- Provides technical leadership within cross functional teams to deliver initiatives and departmental projects.

- Ability to work with Corporate R&D resources, outside labs, co-packers and suppliers for the development of new products.

Qualifications required :

- B.Sc/B.Tech (Food Science, Food Technology, Food & Nutrition, Chemistry, Microbiology)

- Desirable - M.Sc./M.Tech (Food Sciences, Food Technology); Must with B.Sc. (Chemistry or Microbiology)

Background required:

10+ years in Food processing industry with experience in product formulation, process development, manufacturing, and quality management systems.
