Our client is building a new energy ecosystem with ground-up development of a fundamentally better electric motorcycle, battery and associated battery charging network to drive a better experience for the customers.

Their mission is to accelerate the energy transition and democratize the benefits across Africa, India, and Latin America. With a focus on East Africa as a starting point. The team is Ex. Tesla, Apple, Google, Ola Electric, Live Wire, Lucid Motors, Bolt, SRAM, Sun Mobility, Exponent Energy, Safe Boda and Microsoft.

Position - Vehicle Integration Engineer (Two Wheelers)

Location - Bangalore

Responsibilities:

- Ownership of complete vehicle design. Responsible for ensuring design meets product requirements and all stakeholders support execution of this product vision.

- Collaborate with subsystem teams (chassis, body, powertrain, and electrical systems) to ensure all components integrate seamlessly into the overall vehicle design.

- Perform regular design checks, clearance checks, interface checks report the observation to HOD & respective designers

- As the integration engineer you are expected to resolve the design issues, propose concept solutions to the team & respective designers with proper CAD model

- Check the vehicle design & subsystem design proposals against regulatory requirements, should have good knowledge of 2W homologation requirements

As integration engineer all the dwg needs to be reviewed & checked as soon as submitted for further HOD approval

- Define and manage interface requirements and specifications for vehicle subsystems to enable efficient integration and performance optimization.

- Collaborate with validation team to get the system integration checks verified, ensuring the motorbike meets performance, safety, and reliability standards.

- Identify and troubleshoot integration issues during the design, prototyping, and validation phases, working closely with relevant teams to implement solutions.

- Maintain detailed documentation of integration requirements, test plans, and results to support the vehicle development process.

- Work closely with suppliers and external partners to ensure the compatibility of outsourced components with company's vehicle architecture.

- Support design reviews and provide integration insights to ensure vehicle-level objectives are met.

- Manage project timelines & support to execute design activities with designers & validation team including suppliers for on time execution & resolution of design issues.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline integration processes and enhance product quality.

Candidate Profile:

- 5-8 years of experience in vehicle integration or a related role in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.

- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and their interactions, including mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems.

- Hands-on experience with vehicle-level testing and validation, including troubleshooting and debugging complex systems.

- Proficiency in CAD tools like Creo & Solidworks both any other will be added advantage and basic knowledge of electrical and thermal analysis tools is a plus.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving integration challenges.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

- Experience working on electric two-wheelers or motorcycles, with knowledge of unique challenges in subsystem integration for these vehicles.

- Familiarity with regulatory standards and testing protocols for vehicle safety and performance.
